Estimation of Latent Heat Flux Using a Non-Parametric Method

چکیده
The non-parametric (N-P) method expresses evapotranspiration as a function of net radiation, ground heat flux, air temperature, and surface temperature (Ts). This is relatively new attractive for estimating evapotranspiration, especially Ts measurements from remote sensing. purpose this study to investigate the limitations compare its performance with those Penman–Monteith (P–M) Priestley–Taylor (P–T) equations. Field experiments were carried out rates sensible fluxes above three different ecosystems: grassland, peat bog, forest. results show that grassland close equilibrium evaporation. Though forest humid (average humidity ≈ 89%; annual precipitation 2600 mm), was only 69% In terms model predictions, it found P–M P–T equations able predict water vapor well (R2 0.60–0.92; RMSE 30 W m−2) all sites if canopy resistance constant ecosystem given priori. However, N-P succeeded bog; failed site (RMSE 60 m−2). Our analyses field demonstrated be applicable, actual should within 0.89–1.05 times

MODIS-Based Estimation of Terrestrial Latent Heat Flux over North America Using Three Machine Learning Algorithms
Terrestrial latent heat flux (LE) is a key component of the global terrestrial water, energy, and carbon exchanges. Accurate estimation of LE from moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer (MODIS) data remains a major challenge. In this study, we estimated the daily LE for different plant functional types (PFTs) across North America using three machine learning algorithms: artificial neural...
متن کاملEstimating the unknown heat flux on the wall of a heat exchanger internal tube using inverse method
In the design of heat exchangers, it is necessary to determine the heat transfer rate between hot and cold fluids in order to calculate the overall heat transfer coefficient and the heat exchanger efficiency. Heat transfer rate can be determined by inverse methods. In this study, the unknown space-time dependent heat flux imposed on the wall of a heat exchanger internal tube is estimated by app...

Comparison of Latent Heat Flux Using Aerodynamic Methods and Using the Penman-Monteith Method with Satellite-Based Surface Energy Balance
A surface energy balance was conducted to calculate the latent heat flux (λE) using aerodynamic methods and the Penman–Monteith (PM) method. Computations were based on gridded weather and Landsat satellite reflected and thermal data. The surface energy balance facilitated a comparison of impacts of different parameterizations and assumptions, while calculating λE over large areas through the us...
متن کاملBayesian multimodel estimation of global terrestrial latent heat flux from eddy covariance, meteorological, and satellite observations
Accurate estimation of the satellite-based global terrestrial latent heat flux (LE) at high spatial and temporal scales remains a major challenge. In this study, we introduce a Bayesian model averaging (BMA) method to improve satellite-based global terrestrial LE estimation by merging five process-based algorithms. These are the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) LE product a...
